Capers typically grow in the wild on caper bushes, which are common plants on the Sicilian minor islands.
Unfortunately, these plants are today grown to have a more generous harvest.
We have brought to you only the true, wild caper of Favignana, one of three small islands situated off the Trapani coast in Sicily.
The wild caper of Favignana is very fragrant and full of persistent flavors.
The production of these wild plants is very small but the quality of the caper is excellent.
After harvesting, only salt is added from the Marsala Saline, which makes the extraordinary taste.
Raw is ideal for salads. It can be added to any dish to flavor and character.
